Ruth Robison, age 81, of Sandusky, passed away Friday evening, Aug. 3, 2012.

She was born on April 24, 1931, in Coal Center Pa., to George and Doris (Paxton) Roberts. Ruth graduated from Sandusky High School in 1949. She was an active member of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene for many years. Ruth was also involved with the American Red Cross and was a den mother for many years with the Cub Scouts of America. Ruth enjoyed reading, gardening, working with ceramics, playing the piano and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Ruth is survived by one daughter, Jill (Bob) Hoffman of Norwalk; two sons, Dr. Jamie (Bev) Robison of Vero Beach Fla., and Jeffrey (Pam) Robison of Bellevue; eight grandchildren, Kim (Dave) Swartz, Matt (Ellen) Robison, and Mark (Laura) Robison, Danielle (Richard) Buathier, Dusti (Tony) Bellitto, and Brandi Robison, Rachel (Isaac) Escobar, and Adam Hoffman; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Betsy Klotz of Vickery, and one brother, John David (Jennifer) Roberts of Fremont; and several other family members.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband James A. Robison Sr. whom she married on September 9, 1950; and her sister Anna Wilson.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene, 1617 Milan Rd., Sandusky. Friends may also call 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the church. The Reverend David Flack will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
