COLLIERS – Louis Romitti, 91, of Colliers died Sunday, March 9, 1997, in his home.
He was born Nov. 27, 1905, in Italy, a son of the late John and Mary Romitti. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Adaline Wagner Romitti; a son, Louis, Jr.; a daughter, Mildred Dytko; and two sisters, Alma Ghelfi and Lena.
He was a former coal miner and a retired employee of Weirton Steel Corp., where he worked for 20 years. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Weirton.
Surviving are a son, Richard of Colliers; a sister, Clara Gronczcwski of Steubenville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at James Funeral Home, 1245 Main St., Follansbee. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Schiffer will officiate. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery.
