Aged Resident Dies Sunday
Mrs. Sarah E. Rose, 78, Succumbs Following Long Illness.
Mrs. Sarah E. Rose, 78 years old, widow of the late Samuel Rose, died yesterday morning in her home in Carolina avenue, following a long illness of complications. Mrs. Rose, who was born in Hancock county and resided here her entire life was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church since girlhood and was widely known in this section. She is survived by two sons, J. S. D. Mercer, former sheriff of Hancock county, Weirton; Williard Mercer, Chester; two stepdaughters, Mrs. John Newell and Mrs. J. N. Finley, both of Chester; one sister, Mrs. J. L. Hague, and three brothers, Hooker, Millroy and Hiram Allison, all of Chester. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon in the home. Rev. R. B. Ward, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church will have charge. Burial will be made in Locust Hill cemetery.

Rose Funeral.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah E. Rose, 78 years old, were held this afternoon in the home in Carolina avenue. Rev. R. B. Ward, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, was in charge. Burial was made in Locust Hill cemetery.
