NEW CUMBERLAND – Services will be held Saturday for Robert J. Ryan, 87, of New Cumberland, who died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003 at City Hospital.
He was born in New Cumberland, March 3, 1915, a son of the late James R. and Emma Stump Ryan. He worked in maintenance at the former Celotex Roofing Plant in Chester. He attended Jubilee Christian Fellowship in East Liverpool and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by a son, Charles Ryan of Chester, two daughters, Pat Ryan of East Liverpool and Mrs. Steve (Nancy) Free of Cadiz, Ky., and seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 tonight.
