Shingler, Daniel R. 1940-1998

DANIEL R. SHINGLER, 57, of Washington Street, Newell, died Tuesday, September 2, 1998, in the emergency room at City Hospital where he was taken after becoming ill at home.
He was bore in Parkersburg November 19, 1940, a son of the late Daniel Boone Shingler and Sally Jane Farrow Shingler Moore.
He was employed in the maintenance department at the former Taylor, Smith and Taylor Pottery. He was a veteran of service with the U. S. Navy. He attended Wellsville Schools. He was a Protestant.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Shingler with whom he lived, and James Shingler of Chester, two daughters, Crystal Shingler Rice of Hickory, North Carolina and April Busic of East Liverpool; a brother, William Shields of East Liverpool; two sisters, Karhryn Meissner of Salem and Shirley Jasenec of East Liverpool; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Della Jones and Helen Rogers.
Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
