John Shingleton, aged 21 years died yesterday (October 4, 1911) at the home of his parents on Smithfield street from tuberculosis after an illness lasting for over a year. Mr. Shingleton was employed by the Morning Tribune last summer, but was forced to leave on account of his health. He spent the most of the last year in the mountains of Virginia and Pennsylvania seeking relief from the malady which threatened him, but was forced to return to his home here about three months ago. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Shingleton, a sister, Mrs. John Harries and a brother, Roy, all of East Liverpool.

Funeral services will be held from the late home on Smithfield street Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Beard of the Orchard Grove Methodist church officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery.
