Carl Lee Shuman, 72

WELLSVILLE – Carl Lee Shuman, 72, of Wellsville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014.

Born June 2, 1942 in New Cumberland, W.Va., he was the son of the late William and Lela (Gallaher) Shuman.

He was a veteran of the United States Army. Carl worked in Nevada for 20 years as a shop Foreman for Reno Fork Lift. He also worked as a horse trainer for many years at several different Race Tracks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Shuman.

Surviving are his loving wife, Dorothy (Powell) Shuman of Wellsville; two daughters, Sharron of Texas and Suzanna of Ohio; a son, Willie Shuman of Arizona; a brother, William “Bud” Shuman of Chester; four sisters, Rosetta Tice of Newell; Doris (Larry) Carter of Lisbon; Jean Richmond of Irondale; and Patty Zeigler of Wellsville; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, W.Va., Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m., with a funeral service at 7 p.m. Pastor Kara Rowe will officiate.
