Edwin Smith, aged 75 years, died at his home on West Second street at 10 o’clock last night (November 29, 1903). Pneumonia and the infirmities of old age were the causes of his death.

The deceased was a potter by trade and one of the best decorators in the city. He was well-known and well-liked and will ever be remembered by those whith whom he was in any wise associated. In recent years he carried on his decorating work at home. His skill as a workman was greatly admired and remained with him to the end.

He is survived by two sons, George and one who is practicing medicine in England, and three daughters, Mrs. Ambrose Skellum, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith and Mrs. Louisa Warrall. His wife died four years ago. He came to this country from Fenton, England 15 or 20 years ago.

The funeral services will take place at the home, 255 Second street at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning. Rev. Edwin Weary will officiate. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery.
