HARLIN J. SMITH, 47, IS DEAD; FUNERAL SERVICES THURSDAY

Harlin J. Smith, 47, died today in his home, 718 St. Clair avenue, after a long illness of a complication of diseases.

Mr. Smith, who conducted a garage for the past four years in Minerva street, is survived by his widow, one son, William J., and one daughter, Caroline, of Steubenville; his mother, Mrs. Isodene Smith, Negley; four brothers, A. Claude, East Liverpool; Demoine, St. Clair township; Edward R., Fredericktown; Everett, Carrollton, and three sisters, Mrs. Annie Green and Mrs. Sophronia Thompson, Negley, and Mrs. Bessie Kelly, this city.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning in the Methodist Protestant church, of which he was a member. Services will be in charge of Rev. F. A. Dimit. Burial will be made in Clarkson cemetery following services at 2 o’clock in the Clarkson church.

Friends may view the body tomorrow night from 7 to 10 o’clock.

NOTE: Harlin’s wife is not buried with him. She later remarried and is buried with her second husband under the name Maude Winters.
