Mrs. Hazel McClurg Smith, 72, of Fort Cobb, Okla., wife of Bridge Smith, died Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the hospital at Hobart, Okla. She had been ill for four weeks.

Mrs. Smith was born here Dec. 9, 1895. She was graduated from the former Hookstown – Frankfort Springs Academy for Teachers. At one time she worked in district potteries.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Calvin Barton of California; four sisters, Mrs. Fred (Pauline) Martin and Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Barnett, both of Hookstown, Mrs. Stanley (Angie) Fezell of Zelienople and Mrs. Pearl Diehl of East Liverpool; three brothers, Charles McClurg and Harry Booth, both of Hookstown, and Everett McClurg of Aliquippa.

Services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at a funeral home in Fort Cobb. Burial was there.
