MRS. MARY FERGUSON SMITH, wife of Wilson F. Smith, retired merchant, died today at 7:20 a.m. in her home at St. Clair ave., following a long illness.
Mrs. Smith spent her lifetime in East Liverpool, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ferguson. She was active in church and welfare work for many years. she was a member of the First Methodist chrch, the Daughters of the American Revolution and he New Century Club.
Besides her husband she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Scott Follansbee of Cleveland, Mrs. T. Gerald Ryan of East Liverpool, and Miss Mary Smith at home; two sons, Donald F. Smith and W. Howard Smith, both, of East Liverpool; a sister, Mrs. W. H. Mountford of East Liverpool; a brother, William J. Ferguson of Goshen, N. Y., and seven grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the late home by Rev. William Dwight Heaston, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
