Mrs. Mary O. Smith of Negley R. D. 1 died today at 6:45 a.m. at City Hospital after a week’s illness. She was 66.

Mrs. Smith was born in East Liverpool Feb. 27, 1900, a daughter of the late Joseph and Nora Fetty Douglas. She was a member of the Fredericktown Christian Church.

Mrs. Smith leaves her husband, E. R. Smith, at home; two sons, Daniel J. Smith of Calcutta Acres and William R. Smith of Negley; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Mercer of Chester and Mrs. Mabel Risner of Meadville, Pa.; four brothers, Howard Douglas of East Liverpool, Fred Douglas of Newell, Clarence Douglas in Montana and Arthur Douglas of Cleveland; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Samuel R. Smith.

Services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Theodore Nusser of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, near Rogers. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
