Grant Snyder, 73, retired employee of the Morgan Engineering Company, passed away at 7:15 yesterday (June 18, 1937) at home, 503 North Garfield Avenue, following an acute illness of one week. He had been in ill health for two years.

Born in New Waterford, he had resided in Alliance for 20 years coming here from Salem. He learned the machinist trade at the Buckeye Engine Company in Salem and for a time was an erector and general shop superintendent at the Salem plant. He was a charter member of alliance Lodge 362, Loyal Order of Moose.

Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. Ray Fryan of Alliance; two sons, Clyde R. and Oral J., of Alliance; three brothers, Charles of Bellevue, PA., Robert L. of Erie, Pa and Arthur of Washington DC; two sisters, Mrs. L.S. Frye of Cleveland and Mrs. John W. Woolfe of Washington DC and a grandson. His wife Lillian White Snyder passed away in 1930.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Cassaday and Turkle Funeral Home. Rev. J.G. Steiner of Uniontown, former pastor of the Bolton Methodist Church will officiate. Friends may call the Cassaday and Turkle Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Interment will be made in Hope Cemetery in Salem.
