Salineville Woman Dies

Mrs. Olive Stone’s Rites To Be Monday

Salineville – Mrs. Olive Detchon Stone of Ohio St. died at 11 p. m. Friday (October 12, 1956) in Salem City Hospital, following several months illness. She was 51.

Born in Jefferson County, Oct. 14, 1904, Mrs. Stone was a member of the Grant Hill United Presbyterian Church and the Fox Township Grange.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Brown of Salineville; two sons, Fred Detchon and Calvin Detchon, both of Salineville; three step-sons, Dwayne Stone and Sheridan Stone of Alliance, and Robert Stone of Sebring; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Griffiths of Salineville, Miss Laura Rose of East Springfield, and Mrs. Belle Dixon of Salem; five brothers, Floyd Rose, Franklin Rose and Robert Rose of Hammondsville, and Fred Rose and Donald Rose of Lisbon and eight grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Kerr Funeral Home by the Rev. William Catlin.

Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight and Sunday afternoon and evening.
