DAISY ALLISON TATE

Mrs. Daisy Allison Tate, wife of Ralph Tate of Hookstown, died Saturday, January 14, 1967, at 8:15 p.m. in City Hospital, East Liverpool, Ohio, following an illness of six weeks. Born May 4, 1899, in Hookstown, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lucy Smith Reed, she had owned and operated a grocery store and filling station in Hookstown for 35 years. She attended Hookstown Free Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are the following children, Mrs. Anna Allison, Mrs. Beatrice Shenton and Mrs. Mary Short, Deane Tate, Raymond Tate and George Tate, all of Hookstown; a brother, Ford Reed, Georgetown; and five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Boyd, Cleveland, Mrs. Bessie Redman, Cleveland, Mrs. Olive Dawson, Kendall, Pa., Mrs. Ethel Brennaman, East Liverpool, and Mrs. Elva Wright, Hookstown. Friends are being received in the Arnold Funeral Chapel, Chester, W. Va., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Milo Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mill Creek Cemetery.
