MRS. MARY THOMPSON

Mrs. Mary S. Thompson, 79, of the Y. & O. Rd., Rock Camp, wife of Charles C. Thompson, was pronounced dead on arrival at City Hospital this morning at 7:30. She had been in failing health for several years.

A native of Calcutta, Mrs. Thompson was born Nov. 5, 1887, a daughter of the late William Thompson and Isodene Thomas Thompson. She had resided here her lifetime. She was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church.

She also leaves a son, Raymond D. Thompson of Lisbon; three daughters, Mrs. Mary I. Beatty of East Liverpool, Mrs. Frances V. Garey and Mrs. Florence A. Melvin, both of Cleveland; a brother, Ed Smith of Negley; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Kelley of East Liverpool, 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. A son, Curtis L. Thompson, was killed in an auto accident July 1.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Dyke of East Palestine. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Negley.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and night.

NOTE: There is a mistake in the last names of Mary’s parents. The correct names are William Smith and Isodene Thomas Smith, not Thompson.
