Mary (Micire) Torbich, 89, of Aliquippa, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 in West Hills Health and Rehabilitation, Moon Twp.
Born Jan. 22, 1923, in Midland, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Anna (Green) Micire. Mrs. Torbich was a member of St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Aliquippa, and the St. Elijah Circle of Serbian Sisters. She was a former employee of Hi-Lo in Logstown and Golden Dawn in Center Twp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Torbich, in 2009; a son, Darrell ‘Gus’ Torbich, and a stepbrother, Joe Puskarich.
Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sally Micire of Brighton Twp.; two sisters-in-law, Helen Kosanovich and Anita Salopek; her ‘adopted’ grandson, Austin Dilla, and many loving and devoted nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, http://www.tatalovichfuneralhome.com, where a service will be held Friday at 12 p.m., followed by an additional service at 12:30 p.m. in St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church, Aliquippa, with the Very Rev. Stevan Stepanov, her pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Elijah Church Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
Pomen (blessing service) will be held today at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
