Mrs. Mary White
The death of Mrs. Mary White, an old and esteemed resident of East Liverpool, occurred a the home on Seventh street at 8 o’clock Sunday morning (October 18, 1903) and a long and useful life was brought to peaceful close through natural decline due to her advanced age.
The death of Mrs. White marks the passing of another of those early settlers who made their home in this section when East Liverpool was a village and reared sons and daughters who command respect of their fellow citizens. The deceased was Mary McNicol before her marriage and was born in Ireland in the year 1828 but spent her youth in Scotland. Her parents moved to this country in the year 1866 and during the following 37 years she lived in this city.
Mrs. White was a sister of Patrick John, George, and Margery McNicol the latter being the only surviving member of this family. The death of her husband occurred 19 years ago. She was the mother of 13 children, six of whom are living and present oat the time of her death. The surviving children are Mrs. Maggie Maglif, Mrs. Susan Keenan, Mrs. Elizabeth Decant, Mrs. Ellen Creal, George F. White and Hugh W. White all of whom are residents of this city.
Mrs. White was a regular attendant at St. Aloysius church where the funeral services will be held at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning after which the remains will be interred in St. Aloysius cemetery.
