Mrs. Emma L. Whitehill, 68, wife of James O. Whitehill, died today at 5:30 p.m. at her home in the East Palestine-East Liverpool Road, one mile north of Fredericktown after a brief illness. Mrs. Whitehill was born Nov. 7, 1864, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Green of St. Clair Township. She spent most of her life in the vicinity of Fredericktown. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Carl of East Liverpool and Arthur L., at home; one daughter, Mrs. Florence I. Slade of East Liverpool; six brothers, Robert Green of East Palestine, Harvey Green of Lisbon, and Charles, Harry, Bert, and Clem Green, and a sister, Mrs. George Dailey of Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Long’s Run Presbyterian Church. Burial will be made in Long’s Run Cemetery.
