DEATH OF A PIONEER
RUSSELL WILKINSON LIVED TO BE SEVENTY-TWO YEARS OF AGE
A FALL CAUSED DEATH

Russell Wilkinson, a life long resident of Hancock county, died at is home at the head of Middle Run , about two miles south of Chester, Thursday (February 11, 1904), at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. Mr. Wilkinson was well known in Chester and throughout the county, but in the past two years had not been very far off his farm. He was close to 75 years of age and is survived by a widow and relatives in Steubenville and Pennsylvania.

About two weeks ago the deceased had a fall on the icy ground, close to the house and with great difficulty was able to get to his home. He was apparently not injured but complained of the severe fall and since that time grew worse until his death. Arrangements are not yet complete, but the funeral will likely be at Locust Hill cemetery, where his son was buried about a year ago.
