Bertha Anne (Goad) Wobser, age 63, of Bellevue, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, in Sandusky.

She was born March 16, 1949, in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., the daughter of Willie and Alma (Copas) Goad.

She was employed at the Sandusky Wal-Mart as a cake decorator. Bertha was a member of Athens Missionary Church, Walbridge, and Bellevue Eagles Aerie 490 Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband Ernie Wobser, whom she married Oct. 1, 1993, of Bellevue; son, Philip Paul (Cheri) Hahn of Sylvania, Ohio; daughters, Cheryl Ann (Anthony) Smith of Oregon, Ohio, Vicki Lynn (James) Sedlak of Perrysburg, Ohio, Liz (Rey) Gonzalez of Bellevue, 10 grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Carol) Goad of Toledo, Roger (Margaret) Goad of Marblehead; and sister Berniece Odom of Toledo.

In addition to her parents, her brother Jack Goad, and brother-in-law William Odom preceded her in death.

Anne was so proud of her children, and grandchildren, and planned to retire in a year and a half. She was an amazingly talented crafter. From macramé to weavings, sewing to quilting, to making the most beautiful bows – she could do it all, and make it look simple. She loved to teach people everything she knew, and planned to teach sewing/quilting after she retired.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, with a memorial service at 6 p.m., at Athens Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Breckman St., Walbridge Ohio.

Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, is in care of arrangements.
