Wanda Lee Wolfe, 80, of Bellevue, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, in Bellevue Care Center.
Mrs. Wolfe was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Green Springs, to the now deceased Roy and Elizabeth (Chapman) Myers. She graduated from Thompson High School in 1951 and was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Bellevue.
Wanda was also a member of York Grange; a charter member of the Happy Homemaker’s Club; was active as a 4-H leader for many years and had been a Girl Scout leader. She also was “Aunt Em” at Cedar Point, baking many pies and along with her husband was a member of the FADS Square Dancers from 1964 until the early eighties.
Survivors include her husband Paul Wolfe, Bellevue, whom she married Jan. 27, 1952; a son Rick (Patricia) Wolfe; and a daughter Susan (David) Cervantes, all of California. One grandson Austin Wolfe and two stepgrandsons, Christopher and David Cervantes; along with three stepgreat-grandsons; her twin sister Vonda Ireland, California, and sister Betty Canode, Bellevue, also survive.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Bellevue. The Rev. Dr. Diane Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Flat Rock Cemetery.
