Luther E Woodward, 82, a resident of this area for 65 years, died Tuesday at 10:25 p.m. at City Hospital, after an illness of six years.

He resided at 4081/2 Walnut Street. At one time he worked for Crucible Steel Co. in Midland. He was born in West Virginia 18 July 1880, (not correct) to John H Woodward and Frances Pierson Woodward, and was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs., Stella Woodward at home, a son, Luther E. Woodward, Jr. and a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Stella) Shuman, both of East Liverpool; two brothers, Albert Woodward of Fullerton, Calif., and William B Woodward of Akron and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. John Redmond. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
